PRESIDENT

ANTHONY JACKSON is a scond year Boom Parent with daughters on the 11 Orange, 13-1, and 14 Diamond Teams.  He is a decorated veteran who served our country proudly with honour and distinction as a United States Marine prior to a career as a law enforcement official.  Mr. Jackson is a tenured automotive professional and is the owner of Vision Auto Sales and Finance, specializing in luxury location services and consignment sales.  He is also youth minister at Bouldercrest Church of Christ.

 

VICE-PRESIDENT

DR. LORI JAMES is a third year Boom parent with a daughter on the 15 Diamond team.  Dr. James is originally from Chicago, Illinois, is the owner/founder of Focus on Education, Inc., educational firm.  With over 30 years of educational experience, Dr. James provides educational consulting, counseling, professional development, resource, research and other educational services throughout the United States.  She is an author, a member of various organizations, and an adjunct instructor at the collegiate level.

DR. CANDACE THOMAS is a second year Boom Parent with a daughter on the 15 diamond team.  Dr. Thomas is a licensed General Dentist, currently practicing in Jonesboro, GA. In 1998, Dr. Thomas completed her Bachelors degree in Science, majoring in Biology with a minor in Chemistry at Alabama Agricultural & Mechanical University.  Dr. Thomas received her commission as a United States Army Medical Service Officer in 1998 and completed her service obligation as an army Captain.  Dr. Candace R. Thomas is a Howard University College of Dentistry graduate, obtaining her Doctorate of Dental Surgery in 2008. Dr. Thomas is a member of the American Dental Association, Georgia Dental Association and the North Georgia Dental Association.

 

FUNDRAISING CHAIR

JOSLYN JACKSON, ESQ. is a second year Boom Parent with daughters on the 11 Orange, 13-1, and 14 Diamond Teams. She is a graduate of Spelman College and Georgia State University College of Law. Attorney Jackson is the managing attorney of The Joslyn C. Jackson Law Firm, LLC., a law firm specializing in consulting and legal support for busineses.  She is also a part-time municipal court judge.

 

PROGRAMS CHAIR

ROBI HILLIARD-HERRON is a second year Boom Parent with a daughter on the 18 Diamond Team.  Ms. Hilliard Herron is a Senate Legislative Assistant in the Georgia General Assembly, a campaign strategist and grassroots organizer. 

 

BOOM EX-OFFICIO MEMBER

DEL HUGHES is the Chief Executive Officer and Co-Founder of Atlanta Boom Volleyball Institute and the 2015 Head Coach of the 16 Diamond Team.  Find his extensive volleyball credentials here.
